The ELSASS project had the goal of providing a way for spastic children to carry out daily exercises in a fun and engaging way, in the comfort of their own home.
The system relies on the principle of Neuroplasticity, the ability for the brain to physically change through external stimulus.
This was my first project using the Agile approach to software development, using the JURA platform.
Under the banner, “Move It To Improve It” the system has now evolved to a finished product, known as Mitii.
My responsibilities were to work with physiotherapists to design and program audio-visual feedback and games that would be appropriate to specific known physical exercises.
